Rooted In History

Drawing from the architectures that shaped artistic life across centuries, HOTYR begins with an appreciation of what those spaces made possible.

For The Artistic World

HOTYR is attuned to the artistic world: to those who create art, and to those whose lives are formed in relation to it.

An Architectural Perspective

HOTYR brings architectural insight to the spaces in which artistic life takes shape,  reimagining how they might be built anew.

Practice & Experience

Devoted to the architecture of artistic life, her work centres on the artists’ club - its enduring forms and the conditions that have shaped artistic gathering across centuries. Through House of The Young Romantics, she is giving renewed architectural form to Club Proper - the artists’ clubs of the future.

Salons at Leighton House and Benjamin Franklin House; the launch of The Perfect Clubman magazine; and Architectures of the Artistic World - 52 Studies, a 52-part architectural investigation into the artists’ clubs and gathering spaces that have shaped the artistic world.
